How do I apply and will I receive a confirmation email of successful registration?
Please click this link to fill in the application form. After submitting the form, you will receive an email from the Online Self-learning Platform to confirm your registration. If you do not receive it within 5 working days, please email us at dataverse@seedfoundation.hk.
What language will the Online Info Session and Self-learning Course be conducted?
The Online Info Session will be conducted in Cantonese. As it will be a live broadcast, subtitles will not be available. The Online Self-learning Course videos are in Cantonese with both Chinese and English subtitles provided.
Will there be replay if I am not available to attend the Online Info Session?
Participant who are unable to attend the Online Info Session can contact us, we will share the replay with you.
If I want to join the IG Reels Competition, is it a must to include at least 2 students from the same school?
Yes, each team can consist of 2 to 6 students from the same school.
Can a team consist of students from different forms?
Yes, students in the same team can come from different forms, and a team’s division will be determined by the highest-form student in the team. The divisions are:
Junior Secondary Category: S.1 to S.3 (Year 7 to 9) students in the School Year of 2025/26
Senior Secondary Category: S.4 to S.6 (Year 10 to 12) students in the School Year of 2025/26
Can the same teacher be the advisor of multiple teams?
Yes.
Can I still join if I am graduating from S.6 (Year 12) in this school year 2025/26?
Sure! As long as the student is studying in Secondary 6 (Grade 12) during the 2025/26 school year, they are eligible to participate.
Can a student member of a team be changed after registration?
Yes. Please note that each team member must individually pass Level 1- Online Self-learning Course, for the team to be qualified to enter the IG Reels Competition. If students wish to change team member during the IG Reels Competition, the new member must complete the course and pass the quiz for the team to be considered eligible.
Where can I find the link to access the Online Self-learning Platform?
You can also access the platform by clicking the “Online Self-learning Platform” button at the top of the homepage.
What language can I use in the IG Reels?
You can use English, Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese in the IG Reels.
What are the themes for the IG Reels Competition?
We will announce the themes of the IG Reels in due time, so stay tuned for updates!
What is the format and requirement for the IG Reels?
The IG Reels should be at least 30 seconds and at most 90 seconds long. We accept .mov or .mp4 file format with a maximum file size 300MB. The IG Reels should be filmed in 9:16 aspect ratio, portrait mode, in FullHD (1080×1920) resolution.
How do I submit the IG Reels? Will I receive a confirmation email of successful submission of a IG Reels?
An online form will be emailed to the teams who register to join the IG Reels Competition for submission. After submission, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive it within 5 working days, please email us at dataverse@seedfoundation.hk.
Can I submit more than one IG Reels? Can I revise my submitted IG Reels?
All details regarding the IG Reels submission process will be communicated via email to the respective teams. Please stay tuned to your inbox for updates.
Who will be the judges for the IG Reels Competition?
The judging panel will be comprised of technology, data protection and digital market domain experts.
What kinds of certificates will I receive from joining this program?
- Guardians who complete the online course and pass the quiz will receive a Certificate of Participation.
- Teams that submit an eligible IG Reel by 7 September, all Guardians will receive a Certificate of Completion.
- If the IG Reel wins an award at the ceremony, team members will receive a certificate for the corresponding award.
Can team win more than one award in the IG Reels Competition?
Yes, however each team can only win one award in each category.
